On June 15, 2025, a delegation led by Otabek Makhmudov from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission. The two sides held discussions on issues such as talent cultivation and the integration of industry and education. Wu Hongliang, Director of the International Cooperation Center, and Qiu Aijun, Deputy Director, attended the meeting.

Makhmudov introduced Uzbekistan's efforts to promote the integrated development of education, science and technology, and industry. He stated that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to cooperation with China in relevant fields and hopes to establish an exchange platform with the International Cooperation Center to deepen cooperation in international talent exchange and cultivation.

Wu Hongliang expressed that the International Cooperation Center is willing to strengthen international talent exchange and cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of Uzbekistan, and work together under multilateral and bilateral cooperation mechanisms to promote industrial upgrading and high-quality economic development in both countries.

During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on new models and approaches for international cooperation in integrating industry and education.
