From June 29th to July 1st, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security held a on-site exchange meeting on the construction and operation of public training bases in Tianjin. Relevant responsible officials from the development and reform departments and human resources and social security departments of various provinces attended the meeting. The main responsible person of the Employment, Income Distribution and Consumption Department of the National Development and Reform Commission and the main responsible person of the Vocational Capacity Building Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security attended the meeting to summarize the relevant work and deploy the tasks for the next stage.

The attending representatives conducted on-site investigations of the Advanced Manufacturing Skills Public Training Center in Tianjin Binhai New Area, the China (Tianjin) Skills Public Training Center, the Enterprise Training Center of Jinqiao Welding Materials Group, and the Drilling Technology Training Center of China Petroleum Dagang. Representatives from the development and reform and human resources and social security departments of Tianjin, Heilongjiang, Hunan, Guangxi, Henan, Guizhou, and Zhejiang made exchange speeches.

The meeting pointed out that public training bases provide convenient and accessible, practical and effective skills training for the general workforce, and are an important platform and carrier for alleviating structural employment contradictions and promoting high-quality and full employment. In the construction and operation process, various regions have effectively utilized measures such as establishing rules and regulations, joint construction and sharing, industry-training integration, and regional collaboration to fully exert the positive role of public training bases in skills improvement, employment income increase, and supporting industries.

The meeting emphasized that efforts should be made to improve the quality and efficiency of public training base construction and operation from aspects such as optimizing the construction layout, adhering to the combination of soft and hard, enhancing training effectiveness, and deepening mutual learning and mutual assistance. This will better serve the overall situation of stabilizing employment and promoting income growth, and lay a solid foundation for the skilled talents needed for China's modernization.
